Monday-ness

Our trip was great! It did rain the day we traveled there, but didn't stop us from making a few important stops... This was their first trip to The Alamo... and maybe even the last. ;) There's only so much you can do there.


**Of course, here's another "first" for our kids... Krispy Kreme Donuts while the sign was red! LOL :)

Rylan got a kick out of this - so he took this picture while we were there...



**We stopped at The Ellis' new house for the first time since they moved to SA!

**Lex made her first "list" while on the way home. Keep in mind that she's sounding out the words as she writes them. See if you can figure out what her "list" was that she was keeping up with! LOL


**It was also our first time to see one of these little boogers at the resort! (By the bicycles... out of all places!) It blended in with the sidewalk so perfectly... but somehow Lexie spotted it!


** We also had a first with this smell on the trip. About the second day we were there we kept smelling this smell. It was absolutely disgusting! I mean... it followed us around. It started in the car after dinner one night and we also noticed in our closet in our room at the resort. So, we guessed that it was just the closet and this moldy garbage can smell that "permeated" onto us. We kept smelling each other and the kids and were SO confused! The next night we go to dinner and we had just sat down and BT says "I smell that smell"... and lifts up his Reef flip flop (which I had given him back in May for his bday) and found the culprit! SIIIIIICK! It's this one right here for all of you who might be wondering or might have a pair.

We came to the conclusion that they just sat in water by the pool all day (really two days) and just never got dry! I don't know if it's the clear thing in the heel or what? What's even funnier to me (and makes me just LAUGH OUTLOUD as I type) is
A.) those of you who know BT know that he is a showering clean freak and it turned out to be his feet - which he still can't believe
B.) it's always BT... like the rash story when I was in labor... that's another post!
C.) right after that dinner we went to Target and got some footspray and new flip-flops and left those old ones in the parking LOT!

**I'm playing this song in honor of the 4,000 times we probably heard it on Radio Disney while in the car! Still "holding it's place at number one" right now! :) Can't get it out of my head!
