Back in Time...

I got this email the other day that was about "Olan Mills Awesomeness"... and it was hilarious to say the least. I guess it was just so funny b/c it took me back to all the times we went to Olan Mills as a family - my parents LOVED that place. I can remember my sister in there fixing my hair & doing my bangs... feathering them back with a part in the middle or no, helping my bangs look like a big wave (remember, all it takes is half a can of hair spray and a curling iron to get them to stay up) She would also help me pick out what I should or shouldn't wear. Looking back, we both needed some help! LOL I'm going to pick a few of the pics from the email & post what the email said in quotes under the pic.

"These glasses came free with a purchase of Brut cologne"

"Drake won Best Senior Mullet by a landslide"

"That dude wore a tie for nothing"

"Olan Mills backdrop #4 : Bucolic Meadow with a Split Rail Fence - is that an animal carcus behind her?"

"Olan Mills is all about versatility. The simple addition of a column turns this generic plantation into Tara, where, apparently, someone opened a Hair Cuttery. (This Dorothy Hamill cut was very popular in 70s after Dorothy won Olympic gold. Both my sisters had the cut at different times."

"I got a 20 that says he drives a Camaro"

This family went all out with the Old Timey effect! Hee hee

All I have to say is "plaid was the fad", can you tell? Wow, this family had the opportunity to go out in the middle of the woods with a little bridge behind them!! (is that Dorothy Hamill in the front?) LOL

Hope this brought some humor to your FRIDAY! Our SMSB is having a square dance tonight with real "callers" & everything! The last memory of square dancing I have was when I was in third grade & we performed for parents in the gym. Well, in the middle of the dance as we were skipping & changing partners... I had on these red flats (I swear I've seen some out in the store lately just like them) & I kicked off one of my red flats across the floor!! I was so humiliated that I had to run and put it back on in front of everyone! LOL Anyway, I'm hoping for some better luck this time! I'll let you know!
