1st Day of School

It's official... Ry is now a second grader! Here he is all ready to go on his first day of second grade. He looked so handsome (& cute, but don't tell him I said 'cute') as his eyes were barely open. (hee hee) I think he was excited about seeing all his friends again at school. God just gave us such a gift when he gave Ry to us. I just try to hang on to every detail & memory (even though my crazy brain never allows it all to stay) as he has just grown up these past seven (almost eight) years.

On another note, when I asked Ry what he wanted me to get at the grocery store for his lunch at school he told me "sardines". After explaining that sardines just won't go over well with the other kids and the cafeteria people - at his request I got some for him & Brian to "snack on" b/c he just insisted. I mean... those of ya'll who know me KNOW that sardines DID NOT GO OVER WELL WITH ME! I mean... SIIIICK! It's even sicker that my seven year old son wanted some!!! So, here are the pics that I just had to take - be glad that the SMELL of the sardines does not come through the pictures on the computer.
