- First, everyone in our entire family chopped their hair off this week! Were we needing some changes around here or what? Hair is an easy place to start I guess! If you thought Lexie's hair was short in my last post... you should see mine! Let's just say I got my "bahama mama do" that will hopefully be grown out a little before we go... if it's not I'm gonna need some extensions. LOL We're counting down the days until we go on that trip!!
- Yesterday we went to BT's work (even though it was his day off) to see an employee get surprised as his son was coming in from Iraq! Check it out as the local news was there also! :) It was pretty neat. I just happen to have my camera to capture the moment! :)
- Our lizard, our friend. We have this lizard that we see just about EVERYtime we go eat at one of our favorite lunch places. The kids and I discovered it. BT & I will try to catch a glimpse of it as we go in even without the kids. The funny thing is... there's just very few green bushes and some newspaper stands as you walk in the door and it lives right there - safe and secure. Well, today... since Lex was out of school... we met BT for lunch there. We were leaving and we had to look for our "friend" the lizard. We started looking and I said "sometimes he's over here"... about that time... I saw ants... lots of ants going to and from this thing.... next to the bushes... yep, it was our "friend"... the lizard. He's gone.
- We are going tonight as a family to work and serve at the Good Samaritan Outreach center. Rylan's been before, but BT and Lex and I have not. We hope for a great experience for us as well as the kiddos!
- My little sidewalk... I've never posted pics. It's not that "big" of a project, but it was "big" enough for us to put it off FOREVER! We knew we needed something on the side of our house where grass didn't grow well and was pretty shady... so, remember my "Pre-Mother's Day" gift? BT and I laughed b/c it sounded like this great fancy sidewalk, but believe me... simplicity is key in our family. :) Here it is before...
After some flagstone, a couple of Encore Azaleas, Monkey Grass, Hosta, and New Guinea Impatiens, & mulch it turned out better than it was... and here it is after...
Now, let me just say that the "beware of dog" sign is something I went to Lowe's myself and bought and hung - I'm sure it just gives me a false sense of security b/c my dog would just roll over on her back if someone were to come in the fence.
Have a GREAT Memorial Day Weekend!

Kelli, I'm glad you posted the KLTV clip on your blog. I've emailed the KLTV link to several of my out of town friends and family because I wanted them to see it, as well. I love your new sidewalk, too!
