What a beautiful morning this morning! I got my cup of joe and went & sat on our back patio in the sunshine to soak it in. Maggie jumped up there with me with her nose in the air & what looked like a smile on her face (I'm not crazy, but I swear she was saying that she enjoyed it too)! We sat & watched all the birds come to our feeders.
Even though it's cold today there's evidence that Spring has sprung all over. The kids & I planted a raspberry plant and they came to me excitedly to tell me we have a berry!!
We also have a rose bush that was given to us about 6 years ago. I have moved it about 3 or 4 times and now I must have it in the right spot b/c there are probably 12 blooms on it right now.
We also celebrated our youngest niece's birthday this weekend - Ellie. She turned TWO! We got her a bubble machine & it was a HIT (for those of you that need a gift for a two year old!) We were so glad to see her so happy about it!!
On another note, we were coming in from playing outside last night as it was getting dark. I had heard this noise that almost sounded like a kid, but it was very consistent & loud. Well, it turned out that it was a kid... a kid goat that my neighbors were keeping for someone for a couple of hours. It was a teeny baby goat named Patches. Patches was born last week and has a twin. The mom has refused to feed Patches, so it's now being fed by people. It lives at Camp Tyler (where the guy who feeds it works) and Patches is with his mom during the day (still fed by humans). We went back & played with him and held him and he was so cute I wish I had snapped a pic!

I love the raspberry plant. Great idea?
Did we give you that rose bush??? I want to dig mine up from Rockwall and bring them here.
Yes, you did! I can't believe you remember that! You gave it to us for our anniversary right before I got pregnant with Lexie. It's never bloomed like this before!
Take a pic of that little goat!! I took a pic of PIGS!
