"...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles: they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint..."

Five On Friday

We're counting down... yes, still... although it's getting a little bit crazier (at least it is in my head) the less time I realize I have until we leave. Here's my five for Friday!! TGIF!

* Our flight - well, it's American Airlines. It's also an MD80. Need I say more?? Just say a little prayer that it will go smoothly at the airport on Monday.

* Need your car washed?? Last weekend when it was beautiful my kids were just LOOKING for an excuse to get into their bathing suits with the warm weather. So, I just decided that we should wash my car old school style, break out the sponges, pull out the water hose, & put in a little elbow grease. I mean, if you're like me, you find yourself driving through the car wash, right? Going through what my mom called and still calls "THE ROBO"... please, has ANYBODY out there heard it called that or did she make that name up??? My sister & I still laugh about that! It was time for my kids to experience what it really meant to wash a car. Of course, in the end... the "fun" of it was over and I was out there sweating and drying it off all by myself as the kids rode their scooters on the sidewalk. HA!

* Lex at dinner last night said "mommy, I don't want the plane to crash". I said "I don't either, but it won't"... she said "you know... God really steers the plane"... baffled that she knew that, I said "that's right, who told you that?" She said nobody. I told BT that I believe that God told her that to tell me b/c I always worry about flying. She's right... God is in control... as much as we want to believe that we are. :)

* Ahh, the game of Memory - it is a game played around here often (along with Guess Who, Chutes & Ladders, & Trouble). I have decided that the game of Memory was invented as a joke to the adults that play it with kids - to remind us, the adults, of what LITTLE memory we have left!! My five year old will seriously beat me EVERYTIME! LOL It leaves me feeling like Dori on Nemo everytime!

Nemo & Dori

* Two words - David Beckham... We got tickets to see David Beckham play this May when LA Galaxy (which Galaxy is what Ry's team is called) plays FC Dallas. OK... first of all, Ry is into soccer - he plays FIFA on the PS3, picked out a soccer book at the book fair, loves playing with his new outdoor team, etc... he's a little obsessive - so this is just HUGE that we got these tickets. In fact, the other day we were sitting there and out of nowhere Ry said, "Daddy, you kinda look like David Beckham".... LOL
