I guess Spring Break meant a "break" from blogging too. :) It's almost over, but has been a nice break from school and routine. Let the hustle and bustle of Spring begin! I love this time of year when the flowers start popping up and the grass gets green again. Everytime a season changes I just think "I LOVE this season", but the truth is I just love the change of seasons. God always does it at the most perfect time. I thought I'd list a just a few of my Favorite Things about this Spring Break.
- Emma started off our break by coming & staying a couple of nights with us! We went to see College Road Trip and had pizza before. At the pizza place was a balloon guy that made a dog for Em out of balloons and it was HUGE! We laughed b/c the balloon dog sat in our booth with us like a person.
- Seeing them play & get creative & have "shows" like kids should!! Woa, you should've seen the room after it was all said & done!
- Ry went fishing with his Poppy & the guys on a day that was just beautiful! I gave him my little camera & told him to take a pic of "the big one" if he catches it and he came back with some pictures alright... HA
- We went to Dallas with some friends and it was just perfect - the weather couldn't have been any better and neither could the kids!
- I got my anniversary present a week early. :) Bt & I cannot keep surprises from each other! hee hee (Our anniversary is the first day of spring!)
- Checking on my brother's house for them while they were gone. Let me just say... it consisted of letting the chickens out... and getting them back in at dark!!! and.... are you ready? gathering the eggs that the chickens had laid.... LOL It was great! The kids thought it was THE BEST! (Except for the part where the speckled rooster came after & pecked Lex one evening)
- Going to dinner with friends and feeling like I laughed my head off the whole time! Then, coming home to find out that all the kids thought it would be fun to have a food fight while the babysitter was there! hee hee
The best part of this last week is that there were no plans, no absolutes & time on our hands! It was great!

How funny that they had a food fight! Malyn would have fit right in! She may even have won the whole fight!
What was the Anniversary gift? A trip for two to a secluded island of the coast of anywhere.....that's what I would want!
I love the balloon dog:)
