"Welcome Hunters"... the sign says it all! We just returned from our annual family trip to the deer lease in the big town of Rochelle, TX. It was great! It was a trip filled with lots of laughter, hand-warmers, sleet, & of course, big bucks for the boys! Lex & I had to get matching boots to keep our feet warm! The kids look forward to driving the hunting truck - it's a highlight when you're 8 & 4!
The only thing we pulled the trigger on was my camera (and a hog)! The pic I took of this buck above was following a doe. He jumped the fence right by us while chasing her!! It made for some good pics! Man, I should be a nature photographer b/c nature seems to be my favorite subject next to the kiddos!
Here are a few of the pics that captured the moment for the most part. The second pic is of "camp" at the lease. Let me just say... my coveralls I'm wearing are BT's that he wore when he was ELEVEN YEARS OLD - no exaggeration there!! I've been wearing them for years!! HA! We laughed this year & said that they are my "retro-camo"! LOL
It's great to be back home!!!
