Sink-ing Fast

It all began last night... our sink stopped up in the kitchen. Maybe I'll be a little more picky about what I put down it next time! This was not the first time, so we boiled some water and poured it down... and put this stuff that "Roto-rooter" had given us the last time they were here to see us.... oh yeah... and BT got the plunger out. So, we wake up and it's still backed up & BT made the comment that we should "plunge it again this afternoon." So, it was almost noon and BT & I were about to meet for lunch and I decided, instead of going down to Steinmart, that I would clean up the kitchen & "check out" the sink & give it that "plunge" BT was talking about and impress him with my plumbing abilities. :) Our abilities are about the same, by the way. So I start "plunging" and I hear a little trickle... only to look down and realize that there was water coming out of the dishwasher & even into the garage. So I freak out, grab some beach towels & call BT and he sends a guy over right away. The guy looks & there was a little pipe busted underneath that he replaces. He does that and realizes that the disposal is also leaking, so a different guy brings a new one over to replace the leaking one. I am just sick at this point. The guy goes to Lowe's to get a "snake" and does some other plumbing stuff, cleans out the line, and hooks up a new dishwasher line and puts the dishwasher back only to realize that the dishwasher is not filling up with water anymore. So, we had to get a new dishwasher.... you get the picture. THREE HOURS LATER.... he was done. Moral of the story: Go shopping instead of trying to "fix" things around the house. LOL
