The kids are out of school today.... what a GREAT day! No lunches to pack, no papers to sign, no soccer, no NOTHING!! Well, except for the end of the six weeks teacher conference with Ry's teacher this morning & some stuff for Ry's school's Harvest Festival that I am a co-chair for (which means I'll be chair next year - yikes!). It's by far the biggest fundraiser his school has each year. I'm sure I'll have some pics from that at the end of October - which is actually just around the corner!
Everybody in our little family has had their hair cut in the past week, except for Lex. Ry & BT cut theirs short like I love it & this morning at breakfast Lex said, "Daddy... you look like you have a beard on your head"... HA! I'm still busting out laughing about it as I type!! :) Kids are so funny sometimes. I consult my two when I want to hear THE BRUTAL TRUTH - cuz they'll tell it like it is!! I love them for it & love that about kids.
I would post some soccer stuff, but it was pretty rainy looking on Sat. and I decided to leave my camera & video camera in the car and not chance it. Plus, I couldn't have taken any pics for Lex's game.
If you're a Texan, you should start seeing (which I have) the Monarchs that are migrating to Mexico. Check it out. Read about it. They instinctly go to the same place every year. It's really neat. By the way, there is a whole other species of Monarchs on the California side. Check out this site that a friend sent me about the Monarch Migration & their Fall Migration on the map. You will really see them flying around!!
