Duke

I took this picture yesterday before school and I just keep playing the scenario in my mind... cracking up. First, you have to understand that Lex LOOOVES to play this imaginary role as a teacher. For example, if she thinks that you need help drawing something, then she'll come over and show you exactly how you need to draw it and when you do it she'll say things like "good job, I'm so proud of you, you did it"... and she loves for you to ask her for help... you get the picture. It's just part of her personality that just cracks BT & I up and it is so precious! If I can ever get that on video to show you I will. I don't know if that means she'll be a teacher or what. With all of that said, we got in the car yesterday talking about how cold it was. I'm backing out of the driveway & she has rolled down the window to look out & she says in her teacher voice, "Mommy, do you know what 'duke' is?" I said "Duke?"... thinking maybe she heard someone say "dookie"... or I didn't know. Anyway, I say "No, what is it?" just anticipating what she's gonna say. She goes on to say, "It's the stuff that is on the grass in the mornings sometimes... and you might think that it's rain, but it's not." LOL Four year olds are so funny!

I keep forgetting to put some pics & video from the soccer games last week. Lex played her friend Charlotte on the opposing team and it was sooo funny to see them out on the field giggling!

Ry, on the other hand, played a "rival" team and he scored all FIVE of our goals!! He was on fire! It was great b/c he had a couple of good buddies on that rival team and he was loving it! Here's a goal that he got with the "assist" from his friend Quinn. The boys are really learning and using the skills of passing to each other on this bigger field, so to see this is pretty rewarding. He's #14 and mid-field.

The kids & I are dedicating this song to Frankie... "The Hampster Dance"... they love it & are dancing as I sit & type!

Thanks! Can you tell I've become quite a "multi-tasker" as a mom?... haven't we all? :) I think my blog reflects it!
